Colli Cimini & Sabatini Farmers Cooperative
of Hazelnuts producers, established in 1968
with 800 associates, represents an important
reality in Viterbo agriculture sector.
The production exclusively concerns the "Tonda
Gentile (soft rounded)" hazelnut, a typical
product of Viterbo zone, with extraordinary
organoleptic properties. The
well-cared characteristic, not a defect, of
this hazelnuts is its partially pealing
after its roasting phase.
In our warehouses we maintain a storing
capacity of 60,000 quintal. In rainy seasons
we are able to oven-dry 2,500 quintal of
hazelnuts for each cycle.
In shelled hazelnuts sector, we enjoy first
class companies among our major clients. On
the other hand, paste, milled, roasted
hazelnuts and hazelnuts flour that we
directly produce and distribute, constitute
15% of our overall revenue. The major market
of this part is concentrated in national ice
cream producer, pastry making market and
biscuit industry.
